Frequently Asked Questions

What is the LocPad Pay Kiosk?

A contactless donation point like the LocPad Pay frame and stand allows you to turn your existing tablet device into a means of accepting charitable donations. The LocPad is compatible with Lenovo, Samsung, iPad, and OPPO tablets, among many others. Before complete set-up, a SumUp or Stripe Wisepad 3 card reader will need to be purchased separately, and donation software downloaded.

The Armourdog LocPad Pay Kiosk includes the tablet device frame, kiosk stand, card reader holder and all relative cables.

What is a contactless donation system?
A contactless donation system allows individuals to donate to the NHS or any other healthcare centre or charity. These secure donations can help support your healthcare facility, such as a care home, GP or doctor's surgery, hospital, etc. The card reader and tablet device register the donation amount, and once tapped with a contactless payment method (credit/debit or mobile), they accept the chosen donation amount.
How can I encourage visitors to make donations?
The LocPad Pay promotes effortless giving. Individuals can simply tap to donate. It’s simple, user-friendly, and fast. Place your LocPad Pay contactless donation station unit in high-traffic areas to maximise visibility and donations.
How does the Healthcare & NHS Contactless Donation System work?
You’ll need to download a donation software onto your tablet, source yourself a SumUp or Stripe Wisepad 3 card reader (if you don’t have one already) and purchase a LocPad Pay Donation Kiosk. This kiosk will create a fully functioning contactless donation point for your organisation. Our preset bundles include a secure tablet frame, stand, charging cables and card reader holder. Shop our bundles here.
Will each contactless payment be secure?

Depending on the software you decide to adopt, transactions should be processed securely using industry-standard encryption technology. Check with the software provider, however this should be standard.
